Transient & Guest Applicants

To be considered a Transient or Guest Applicant you must be currently enrolled and in good standing at another college or university, seeking to attend UGA for a semester as a non-degree-seeking student, and then return to your home institution to complete your degree. Applicants seeking to study at the Athens Campus can only do so during the summer term.

Requirements & Limitations

  • Enrollment is only for one term
  • You can only attend in the Summer semester, with the exception of Post-Baccalaureate students and some Study Abroad & International / Domestic Exchange students
  • Credit you earn is eligible towards a UGA degree and can be considered on a limited basis if you decide to transfer to UGA in the future
  • You will not be assigned an advisor or have your credit from other schools evaluated
  • You will not have to attend New Student Orientation
  • The Terry College of Business does not admit transient students
  • Transient students are not eligible for financial aid from UGA

How to Apply

  • Submit the UGA Application and materials by the admission deadlines
  • Submit a current transcript or a “letter of good standing” from your home institution
  • Pay the application fee
