Nontraditional Applicants

If you have been out of high school for several years and are ready to begin or resume your college journey, you may be eligible to apply to the University of Georgia as a nontraditional student.

Who is a Nontraditional Student?

To be considered a nontraditional student, applicants must:

  • Be out of high school for at least five years (high school class graduated five years ago)
  • Be a resident of one of the following counties surrounding the greater Athens area: Banks, Barrow, Clarke, Elbert, Franklin, Greene, Hart, Jackson, Madison, Morgan, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Stephens, and Walton
  • Meet the outlined academic criteria

  • Minimum test scores of at least one:
