Transfer Admission Minimum Criteria for Consideration
Transfer admission decisions are made on a space-as-available basis. There are neither GPA nor completed credit hour levels that guarantee admission.
To be eligible for transfer admission consideration, applicants must meet one of the following sets of criteria established below and submit the required materials in accordance with appropriate deadlines.
Transfer consideration levels are subject to change for each semester as the University reviews space availability for that term.
Athens Campus
Transfer applicants must meet the following minimum consideration levels:
- Graduated from high school at least 12 months prior to intended enrollment
- Complete at least one year of college by the start of intended enrollment
- Resulting in one of the following:
- 30-59 completed hours of transferable credit by the application deadline and a 3.30 or higher calculated transfer GPA.
- 60 or more completed hours of transferable credit by the application deadline and a 3.00 or higher calculated transfer GPA.
Griffin and Tifton Campuses
Transfer applicants must meet the following minimum consideration levels:
- Graduated from high school at least 12 months prior to intended enrollment
- Complete at least one year of college by the start of intended enrollment
- 60 or more completed hours of transferable credit by the application deadline and a 3.00 or higher calculated transfer GPA.
- Griffin and Tifton campuses have specific curriculum requirements and need program coordinator authorization.
