Study Abroad
What will be your first destination?
Facilitated through the Office of Global Engagement, more than 3,000 UGA students study abroad each year, selecting from over one hundred programs led by UGA faculty. In addition to these programs, the university has two year-round global residential campuses for study abroad in Oxford, England, and Cortona, Italy. One in three graduating seniors has studied abroad for academic credit during their time at UGA.
UGA Oxford
The UGA at Oxford Study Abroad Program has been in existence for more than 25 years and is one of the most successful programs on campus. UGA has its own campus located in the center of Oxford and offers more than 100 courses over a variety of majors and subjects.
UGA Cortona
Since 1970, UGA's Studies Abroad Program in Cortona, Italy has been a leader in international arts education. The medieval hill town of Cortona offers a rich historical environment where students can easily integrate with the lifestyle of a typical Italian community. With a variety of art history, studio art, and cultural classes year round, the Cortona Program continues a tradition of excellence.
