Since 2000, it has been the policy of the University of Georgia that the top two graduates of all SACS-accredited high schools in Georgia are assured admission by final decision release (mid-to-late March) to the University of Georgia’s First-Year Class for the Fall or Spring term, provided that the student meet the following criteria:
- Submit an application for first-year admission by the decision plan deadline
- Submit all supporting materials to complete their application by the respective deadline
- Meet Georgia Board of Regent minimum requirements for admission to a USG Research university
- Have their school class rank verified by a school official
- Attend an accredited high school with more than 50 graduates
